Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools: a small flathead screwdriver and a replacement battery (CR2032).
  • Ensure you are in a well-lit area to work on the key fob.
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the small slot on the side of the key fob.
  • Insert the flathead screwdriver gently into the slot and twist to pry open the key fob.
  • Carefully separate the two halves of the fob without damaging the casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Take note of the battery orientation (positive side up).
  • Gently lift the old battery out of the compartment using your fingers or the screwdriver.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Insert the new CR2032 battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  • Press down gently to secure the battery in place.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob.
  • Press them together firmly until you hear a click, indicating they are securely closed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand near the vehicle and press the buttons on the key fob to ensure it is functioning correctly.
  • If the key fob does not work, double-check the battery orientation and ensure it is seated properly.
