Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Flathead screwdriver, Torx screwdriver (T20), flashlight
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
  • Disconnect the battery (negative terminal) for safety.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Locate the retaining stops on the sides of the glove compartment and gently press them inward to release the stops.
  3. Allow the glove compartment to swing down fully to expose the cabin air filter cover.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover; it is typically secured with clips or screws.
  2. Use a flathead screwdriver or Torx screwdriver to remove any screws or release the clips holding the cover.

  2. Slide the new filter into the housing.
  3. Reattach the cabin air filter cover by securing it with clips or screws.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position and press the retaining stops back into place.
  2. Replace any items that were removed from the glove compartment.
6. Finalize and Test
  1. Reconnect the battery (positive terminal first, then negative).
  2. Start the vehicle and turn on the HVAC system to verify airflow and check for any unusual sounds.
