Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: a small flathead screwdriver or a key fob opening tool.
  • Ensure you have a replacement battery: CR2450 type (check compatibility).
2. Open the Key Fob
  • Locate the seam on the side of the key fob.
  • Insert the flathead screwdriver into the seam and gently twist to pry open the two halves of the key fob.
  • Take care to avoid damaging the plastic casing.
3. Remove the Old Battery
  • Carefully lift the battery out of the compartment, noting its orientation (+ side facing up).
  • Dispose of the old battery properly according to local regulations.
4. Install the New Battery
  • Place the new CR2450 battery into the compartment, ensuring the positive (+) side is facing up.
  • Ensure it is seated securely and does not wobble.
5. Reassemble the Key Fob
  • Align the two halves of the key fob and press them together until you hear a click.
  • Inspect for any gaps to ensure it is properly sealed.
6. Test the Key Fob
  • Stand close to the vehicle and test the key fob functions (lock/unlock) to confirm it is working correctly.
