Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools: OBD-II scanner, multimeter, socket set, and wrenches.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the engine is cool.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shock.
2. Remove Faulty Oxygen Sensor
  • Locate the oxygen sensor(s) in the exhaust system (pre-catalytic converter for upstream, post-catalytic converter for downstream).
  • Use a socket wrench to carefully unscrew the oxygen sensor from its mounting location.
  • If the sensor is stuck, apply penetrating oil and allow it to soak before attempting removal.
