Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: Door panel removal tool, socket set, multimeter, OBD-II scanner.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface and the ignition is off.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical short circuits.
2. Remove Door Panel
  1. Use a door panel removal tool to carefully detach the panel from the door frame.
  2. Remove screws securing the door panel (typically located near the handle and bottom of the panel).
  3. Disconnect any electrical connectors for lights or switches attached to the panel.
  4. Carefully lift the door panel away from the door.
3. Inspect and Test Window Components
  1. Test the Window Motor:
    • Connect the multimeter to the motor terminals while activating the window switch.
    • Check for voltage (should be around 12V); if no voltage is present, the switch or wiring may be faulty.
  2. Inspect the Window Regulator:
    • Look for any broken gears, frayed cables, or physical obstructions.
    • If damage is found, proceed to replace the window regulator.
4. Replace Window Regulator (if needed)
  1. Disconnect the motor from the regulator and remove it.
  2. Remove the window glass from the regulator (carefully unbolt or detach).
  3. Install the new window regulator in reverse order of removal.
  4. Reattach the window glass to the new regulator.
5. Reassemble Door Panel
  1. Reconnect any electrical connectors for lights or window switches.
  2. Align the door panel and press it into place.
  3. Secure the panel with screws.
  4. Reconnect the battery.
