Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and parts required for the repair.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to ensure safety.
  • Relieve fuel system pressure by removing the fuel pump fuse and running the engine until it stalls.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Use a socket set to remove the screws or bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift the engine cover off and set it aside.
3. Remove Fuel Rail
  • Disconnect the electrical connectors from each fuel injector.
  • Use a wrench to loosen and remove the bolts securing the fuel rail.
  • Carefully pull the fuel rail away from the engine, ensuring that the injectors come out with it.
4. Inspect and Replace Fuel Injectors
  • Examine the old fuel injectors for clogs or carbon buildup.
  • If necessary, use a fuel injector cleaning kit to clean them; otherwise, replace with new injectors.
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings of new injectors for proper sealing.
  • Install new or cleaned injectors into the fuel rail, ensuring they are seated properly.
5. Reinstall Fuel Rail and Engine Cover
  • Position the fuel rail back onto the intake manifold and secure it with the bolts.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each fuel injector.
  • Replace the engine cover and secure it with the screws or bolts.
6. Reconnect Battery and Test
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
  • Replace the fuel pump fuse and turn the ignition to the "ON" position to prime the fuel system.
  • Start the engine and check for leaks around the injectors and rail.
