Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the engine is cold and disconnect the battery.
  • Place a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Repair Visible Leaks
  • Hoses and Clamps:

    • Inspect and replace any damaged hoses.
    • Tighten or replace clamps as necessary.
  • Radiator:

    • If damaged, remove the radiator by disconnecting the upper and lower hoses, and electrical connectors.
    • Install a new radiator and refill the cooling system with the proper coolant mixture.
3. Replace Water Pump (if needed)
  • Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner.
  • Disconnect hoses from the water pump.
  • Unbolt and remove the old water pump.
  • Clean the mounting surface and install the new water pump with a new gasket, torquing bolts to manufacturer specifications.
4. Heater Core Inspection/Replacement
  • If leaks are found, access the heater core by removing the dashboard and HVAC assembly.
  • Replace the heater core and ensure all connections are secure before reassembly.
