Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Ensure the engine is cool before starting.
  • Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Remove any screws or bolts securing the engine cover using a socket set.
    2. Carefully lift the cover off and set it aside.
3. Access Spark Plugs
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Locate the ignition coils on top of the spark plugs.
    2. Disconnect the electrical connectors from each ignition coil by pulling on the tab.
    3. Remove the bolts holding the ignition coils in place using a socket set.
4. Remove Spark Plugs
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Use a spark plug socket and ratchet to loosen and remove each spark plug from the cylinder head.
    2. Inspect each removed spark plug for signs of wear.
5. Install New Spark Plugs
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Apply a small amount of anti-seize compound to the threads of the new spark plugs.
    2. Hand-tighten the new spark plugs into the cylinder head.
    3. Use a torque wrench to tighten the spark plugs to the manufacturer's specified torque (generally around 23 Nm).
6. Reinstall Ignition Coils and Engine Cover
  • Sub-steps:
    1. Place the ignition coils back into their respective positions and secure with bolts.
    2. Reconnect the electrical connectors to each ignition coil.
    3. Reinstall the engine cover and secure it with screws or bolts.
7. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
