Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required:
    • Torx screwdriver set
    • Flathead screwdriver
    • Clean cloth
  • Safety Warnings:
    • Ensure the vehicle is turned off and keys are removed from the ignition.
2. Access the Cabin Air Filter
  1. Open the glove compartment and remove any contents.
  2. Disconnect the glove compartment damper by squeezing the sides and pulling it out.
  3. Locate the two stops on the sides of the glove compartment and gently push them inward to release the compartment from its hinges, allowing it to lower completely.
3. Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
  1. Locate the cabin air filter cover (black plastic panel) behind the glove compartment.
  2. Remove the screws securing the cover using the Torx screwdriver.
  3. Carefully lift the cover off to expose the cabin air filter.
  4. Pull out the old cabin air filter, noting its orientation for proper installation of the new filter.
4. Install the New Cabin Air Filter
  1. Unbox the new cabin air filter and ensure it is clean and free of debris.
  2. Insert the new cabin air filter into the housing, ensuring it is oriented correctly (check for airflow direction arrows).
  3. Replace the cabin air filter cover and secure it with screws using the Torx screwdriver.
5. Reassemble the Glove Compartment
  1. Lift the glove compartment back into position and press the side stops back into place.
