Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Park the vehicle on a flat surface and allow the engine to cool.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
2. Check and Top Off Engine Oil
  • Tools Required: Oil filter wrench, funnel, clean rags.
  • If the oil level is low, add the appropriate type and grade of oil as specified in the owner’s manual.
  • Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes, then recheck the oil level.
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Tools Required: Oil filter wrench, socket set.
  • Locate the oil filter, remove it with the oil filter wrench, and ensure the rubber O-ring comes off with it.
  • Apply a thin coat of new oil on the new filter's O-ring, then install the new oil filter.
4. Replace Engine Oil
  • Tools Required: Socket set, oil catch pan, funnel.
  • Remove the oil drain plug using a socket set and allow the old oil to drain completely into the catch pan.
  • Replace the drain plug with a new washer and torque to the manufacturer's specifications (typically around 25 Nm).
  • Pour in the recommended amount of new oil through the oil filler neck.
5. Replace Oil Pressure Sending Unit (if faulty)
  • Tools Required: Socket set, torque wrench.
  • Locate the oil pressure sending unit, typically near the oil filter.
  • Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the sending unit using a socket.
  • Install the new sending unit and torque it to specifications (usually around 20 Nm).
  • Reconnect the electrical connector.
