Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather tools and materials:
    • Throttle body cleaner
    • Soft cloth or shop towels
    • Screwdriver set
    • Torque wrench
    • Safety glasses
  • Ensure the engine is cool to prevent burns.
  • Disconnect the battery to prevent electrical shorts.
2. Remove Air Intake Duct
  • Loosen the clamps on the air intake duct using appropriate screwdriver.
  • Carefully pull off the duct from the throttle body, ensuring not to damage any sensors connected.
3. Access Throttle Body
  • Remove the throttle body by unscrewing the bolts or screws (usually Torx screws).
    • Use a torque wrench to note the torque settings for reinstallation.
  • Disconnect any wiring harnesses attached to the throttle body carefully.
4. Clean the Throttle Body
  • Spray throttle body cleaner directly onto a clean cloth or into the throttle body opening, avoiding excessive overspray.
  • Wipe the inside of the throttle body with the cloth, focusing on the throttle plate and surrounding areas.
  • Move the throttle plate gently (if applicable) to clean its edges thoroughly.
5. Reassemble
  • Reconnect the throttle body and tighten the screws to the specified torque settings.
  • Reattach the air intake duct, ensuring all clamps are secure.
  • Reconnect the battery.
6. Final Check
  • Start the engine and let it idle to ensure smooth operation. Check for any irregularities.
