Solution
1. Preparation
  • Gather necessary tools and parts.
  • Disconnect the battery to ensure safety.
  • Allow the engine to cool if it has been running.
2. Remove Engine Cover
  • Use a socket set to remove bolts securing the engine cover.
  • Carefully lift off the cover and set it aside.
3. Disconnect Fuel Injectors
  • Carefully disconnect the electrical connectors from each fuel injector (ensure no damage occurs to the connectors).
  • Use a fuel line tool to relieve pressure from the fuel rail, then disconnect the fuel lines from the injectors.
4. Remove Fuel Injectors
  • Use a socket or wrench to unbolt the fuel rail from the intake manifold.
  • Gently pull the fuel rail away from the intake manifold while ensuring the injectors come out with it.
  • Remove the injectors from the fuel rail by pulling them straight out.
5. Inspect and Clean
  • Inspect each injector for clogs or physical damage.
  • Clean the injector nozzles using an appropriate fuel injector cleaner or ultrasonic cleaner if necessary.
6. Install New or Cleaned Injectors
  • Apply a small amount of engine oil to the O-rings of the new or cleaned injectors to ensure proper sealing.
  • Insert the injectors back into the fuel rail and secure them.
  • Reconnect the fuel rail to the intake manifold and tighten bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque (typically around 10 Nm).
7. Reconnect Fuel Lines and Electrical Connectors
  • Reattach the fuel lines to the injectors and secure with the appropriate clips.
  • Reconnect the electrical connectors to each injector.
8. Reinstall Engine Cover
  • Place the engine cover back on and secure it with bolts.
9. Reconnect Battery
  • Reconnect the battery and ensure all connections are tight.
