Solution
1. Preparation
  • Tools Required: OBD-II scanner, socket set, oil pressure gauge, torque wrench, engine oil, oil filter, oil catch pan.
  • Ensure the vehicle is parked on a level surface, and the engine is turned off and cool.
  • Disconnect the battery for safety.
2. Check and Add Oil
  • Remove the oil filler cap.
  • Use the dipstick to check the oil level; if low, add the appropriate oil type as specified in the owner’s manual.
  • Replace the oil filler cap securely.
3. Replace Oil Filter
  • Tools Required: Oil filter wrench.
  • Place an oil catch pan underneath the oil filter.
  • Remove the old oil filter using the oil filter wrench.
  • Apply a thin layer of fresh oil to the rubber gasket of the new oil filter.
  • Install the new oil filter by hand until snug, then tighten with the wrench according to manufacturer specifications.
4. Change Engine Oil
  • Place an oil catch pan under the oil pan.
  • Remove the oil drain plug and allow the old oil to completely drain out.
  • Replace the drain plug and torque it to specifications.
  • Pour new engine oil through the oil filler cap, ensuring to use the specified oil type and quantity.
5. Check Oil Pressure
  • Reconnect the battery and start the engine.
  • Allow it to idle and check for the oil pressure warning light.
  • If the light remains on, connect the mechanical oil pressure gauge to the oil pressure sending unit location to measure actual oil pressure.
  • If oil pressure is low, replace the oil pump as needed.
